The Custom Tecnavi Classic Round Aft Vries – MAXIME was constructed by Tec-Navi in Italy, who launched the yacht in 1984, with an LOA of 24,08m, beam of 5.9m and draft of 2.2m.
She was one of the first yachts to arrive in the prestigious Club de Mar marina in Palma de Mallorca, when she was known as ZORBA K. She has cruised extensively for the last 12 years, with destinations including Turkey, Jordan, Red Sea, Sudan, Israel, Balearics and the Caribbean.
She is a capable motor yacht with a hull constructed from 8mm steel plate, with an aluminium superstructure. She has a transatlantic cruising range, cruising speed of 8.5kts and top speed of 10kts, from her five fuel tanks and total 15,000 litre fuel capacity.
MAXIME is fitted with two MAN D2566MLE diesel engines, two 16kw Northern lights generators and Koop Nautic/Vosper stabilizers.
She benefits from teak laid decks to the aft deck, side decks, foredeck and flybridge. The foredeck teak now requires some restoration work.
In January 2022 she was lifted ashore in Valencia for extensive works, which included new plating, tank tops and removal of the shafts to fit new cutlass bearings. Her service batteries were also replaced in 2022 and a Mastervolt 75amp charger fitted.
Her accommodation is beautifully appointed in Honduran mahogany, and offers a four cabin layout with four bathrooms, plus an additional crew area.
The owners suite is positioned aft with separate access from the main saloon, whilst the guest cabins are positioned forwards. The large saloon is beautifully appointed, with a sofa forwards finished in leather, owners desk and direct access onto the aft deck. The main corridor leads to the well appointed galley and the large dining room, with commanding views forwards and a large dining table which could easily accommodate eight people.
The crew accommodation is located in the bow and accessed from the dining room. There are two bunks positioned to starboard and a separate bathroom.
The wheelhouse has the feel of a true oceangoing motor yacht, with commanding views and a traditional feel. The yacht boasts comprehensive navigation equipment, which includes 2 x Furuno Nav net chart plotters, open array radar, Iridum IMARSAT – Satellite telephone, Simrad autopilot, VHF Radio and electrical panels, for the yachts main systems.
There is direct access from the wheelhouse to the flybridge, which is teak laid and incorporates a second helm station. There is a an aft flybridge sofa and central funnel, which has been fitted with a dive compressor. There is a tender davit fitted on the flybridge.
The accommodation is air conditioned throughout with 2x 2200 BTU compressors located in the engine room, which were replaced in 2014.
MAXIME is fitted with both a Opacmare hydraulic gangway on the transom and “Mediterranean” style boarding ladder on the starboard side.
Name to be retained by vendor.
