Nominated for the European Yacht of the Year in 2021, the Pegasus 50 offers a fresh perspective on cruising, featuring innovative accommodation design, a sheltered cockpit, light displacement, a carbon-infused hull, and a relatively shallow draft thanks to her tandem keel.
The design is equally at home on a calm summer day in the Mediterranean or when riding out a storm in Patagonia under full control. It is indeed a compelling option to consider for cruising in Northern Europe.
No longer the preserve of the heavy displacement yacht with a dark and low saloon, the unique design of the Pegasus 50 mirrors the way we now live, with the kitchen (galley) as the hub of the home. The Pegasus 50 features a raised living space with 360-degree views and a cleverly connected living area between the galley, saloon, cockpit, and helm.
Only a slight step down into the middle of the yacht leads to the sleeping accommodation, with the owner’s cabin situated close to the centre of gravity, ensuring minimal movement and maximum comfort at sea.
Performance comes from the light displacement, with plenty of power available from the carbon mast and an incredibly strong carbon-infused composite construction.
So many thoughtful and well-conceived features, such as the tandem keel, gimballing saloon table, and protected helm, to name just a few.
The Pegasus 50 is available in either a diesel or electric configuration, both offering large capacity and range.
