The very lovely Nautor Swan 56, NOONMARK VI is for sale…

In her original ownership, NOONMARK VI was the first of the Swan 56s to be built to MCA Category 0. She was built to both regatta and for comfortable, fast, long-legged cruising and she has done brilliantly at both.

History of Nautor Swan 56, NOONMARK VI

Skipper maintained from day one, she launched in 1998, her condition belies the vast quantities of silverware that she has accumulated and the thousands of nautical miles beneath her custom keel, designed by Hugh Welbourne and fitted in 2013 which reduces her draft to a manageable 3 metres.

NOONMARK’s interior is executed in honey teak with Alcantara upholstery. She has a forepeak which can be fitted with bunks, large heads compartment and two spacious upper and lower berth cabins. The dividing bulkhead can be removed to make this a large single guest cabin, or to provide more room for handling sails in a regatta environment.

Her main saloon has a generous dining table with lovely Nautor custom chairs and good access to the galley, with plenty of room for food preparation, and storage. There is good refrigeration. The galley is well sited for access to the forward cockpit and it is well designed for the cook to be comfortable at work in a seaway.

There is a large chart table and access to the owners’ cabin with a double berth to starboard and sofa to port and en-suite heads.

This cabin can be altered to provide 4 bunks when in regatta mode if required. There is access from this cabin to the aft sailing cockpit.

On deck, she has an anodised spar from Formula which had new rod and turnbuckles in 2019. Her teak deck was totally replaced in 2017. As she is always covered when not being used, it looks just out of the box, and the original gelcoat on her superstructure looks faultless.

Her hull is painted in flag blue, and is in great shape and she has smart red antifouling.

NOONMARK’s sail inventory is far too large to list here and she has full wardrobes to either cruise or regatta. She may be cruised by 2 people – her primary winches are powered as are her runner/mainsheet winches.
