Now this is an exceptionally good cruising motor-yacht. Not only is she fanatically well-built by Marex, but she is comprehensively equipped to be comfortable, safe and efficient wherever your cruising grounds might be. Being a well-respected Scandinavian family boat builder, founded in Norway back in 1973 and today offering a versatile range of quality cruisers, this yard continues to build on their success and are the recipients of many recent international awards and accolades.

The Marex 360 Cabriolet Cruiser is an innovative and very clever luxury cruiser, with a capable full planing hull design. She is unique in her class to offer such a large convertible cockpit design, featuring an ingenious hardtop arrangement, with fore and aft canopies, which glide into position on rails.

The spacious cockpit is a perfect place to entertain guests and for the crew to relax in – with space for up to ten people around the beautiful solid teak cockpit table. The cockpit galley is simply unrivalled – offering a full-beam worktop, masses of storage and cold storage capacity, a triple-ring gas hob and a proper gas oven. Other manufactures should take lessons in how to create a truly functional upper saloon / cockpit galley – and this is it! With light flooding in from landscape cockpit windows which run forward into a wrap-round windscreen (with concealed foredeck access door) – this is a fantastic space – even with the canvas canopy closed. With it open – you have an exquisitely-finished cabriolet – with it closed the entire area is easily heated by a powerful Webasto system, with screen demisters to boot. Quite literally, the best of both worlds.

That age-old thorny issue of what you do with the canvas screen covers is done away with via a remarkably obvious – yet never exploited – system of hinged panels which the canvas neatly stows inside and is all kept and stowed neatly, and out of sight.

Access to the foredeck is safe and easy, either through the hinged windscreen, or via the side decks, which are laid with smart, grippy simulated teak, and are equipped with substantial side rails and shoulder-level handrails along the hardtop.

Below decks, this Marex 360 has two comfortable double cabins, with panoramic hull windows, plentiful storage and air conditioning in the forward cabin and heads compartment. A spacious and light midships heads compartment offers an electric heads, separate shower area with seat, and practical composite worktops. The attention to detail through the build is remarkable, and the design was awarded the Best of Boats Award in 2019 for “Best for Family” and was also highly-commended in the 2020 Motor Boat of the Year awards from Motor Boat and Yachting magazine.

With twin Mercury 3.0L diesels (the 270SD version), her Skipper has the luxury of Axius Joystick docking, to make marina docking a breeze, with the Premium fitted upgrade including the Digital Anchor (Skyhook) feature, whereby the yacht will automatically maintain her position, and heading. Her engine bay is palatial – with the excellent access to systems and her prime movers, and exemplary wiring and fitting of her ancillary systems, including useful solar panels and inverter.

We bought PLANE TO SEA in the Spring of 2021 having spent the Winter looking at every boat in the 35 to 40 ft range. What we wanted was a boat that met our every need and one without compromise. There was only one choice – the Marex 360CC. And it has been everything we wanted. From the build quality, comfort, style and equipment PLANE TO SEA has been ‘without compromise’. She needs new Owners to love her as much as we have. We think she is the best there is!
