The Oceanis 40 is a clear invitation to enjoy design, comfort, and performance at sea. Guided by Nauta Design, the Oceanis 40 embodies its essence with contemporary lines, creating a space where light, comfort, and a sense of well-being dominate onboard. The hull and deck of the Oceanis 40 were crafted by the Berret Racoupeau Design office, resulting in a yacht that combines aesthetic appeal with impressive seaworthiness. Their design achieves a powerful, attractive profile while maintaining excellent stability and handling on the water.
A large open cockpit with dual wheels welcomes you aboard, providing not only good passage but also an unbeatable view of the deck. The cockpit features a fixed table and with an easy access to the bathing platform in the stern, providing everything you need to enjoy the archipelago. With the mid sheeting boom and furling system for the head sail, there are few disruptions to life on board, making the yacht secure and allowing the helmsman to focus fully on navigation and handling.
Below deck, a bright saloon welcomes you, thanks to the hull windows, large deck hatches, and side windows in the superstructure. To starboard of the entrance, there is a navigation area with all necessary equipment. Moving forward, you are greeted by the longitudinal galley, equipped with gas stove and large fridge. On the starboard side, there is a large sofa with a table and a 2 seat bench to make room for the whole crew. The master cabin is located in the bow and features a large centerline double bed, wardrobe, and plenty of storage space. There are two heads with a shower in the aft head. The aft features two symmetrical cabins, with the one on the starboard side having its own entrance to the second bathroom.
Beneteau Oceanis 40, WÅGSJÖ is a Swedish sold boat in good condition. The owner has mainly used her for summer sailing on the west coast of Sweden. She has been equipped with a strong bow thruster, plotter and recently a new canopy which fully covers the cockpit. This is a perfect yacht to make your summer days at sea as easy and safe as possible. WÅGSJÖ has been serviced at Orust Yacht Service where she also over winters, indoors of course.
My wife and I have enjoyed wonderful sailing trips along the Swedish west coast with this fine yacht, which has excellent sailing characteristics. We have truly enjoyed this yacht, it’s spacious for living aboard and the large cockpit. It’s difficult to let her go, but due to age, we must. We are confident she will give her new owner many wonderful experiences at sea, and we hope they will take good care of her.
