Designed by renowned Swedish yacht designer Pelle Petterson, Maxi Yachts have an impeccable pedigree, and the Maxi 1100 lives up to the brand’s reputation for being a superbly balanced, fast, and comfortable cruising yacht.

On deck, these yachts feature an excellent rig setup, with a fully battened mainsail and all lines led aft to the cockpit—making the boat easily handled by a short-handed crew, while still capable of accommodating a full crew in comfort. They offer a perfect mix of performance and comfort, making them equally at home on extended offshore passages or participating in club racing.

Below decks, the quality of finish throughout the boat is of the highest standard, as you would expect from a Swedish builder with Maxi’s reputation. She offers sleeping accommodation for seven across two cabins and the saloon. The quality of her interior finish is a cut above many production boats, with solid teak joinery giving her a traditional feel, enhanced by contemporary design features.

Parting with JAMMY DODGER feels a bit like losing a limb, but age is creeping up on me, and it’s time to finally hang up my sea boots. I have a wealth of wonderful memories from trips near and far aboard her over the years. She’s easy to sail, simple to manoeuvre, nimble in a race, sturdy in a blow, and comfortable in harbour. I hope her next owner enjoys her every bit as much as my friends, my family, and I have.
