Built in 2014 at Dutch yard KM to designs by Dykstra for her current owner who planned to sail far, short-handed. She has a centreboard, full redundancy of systems, seamanlike layout above and below decks, powerful rig, Lugger main engine and serious solar array.
In her current, original ownership, many nautical miles have been put beneath her keel, but her condition shows no clue of this. She has been immaculately maintained and with recent standing rigging and other updates far too numerous to mention, she is ready for her next ownership.
Every detail aboard ANABEL has been painstakingly thought through – her owner also flies and so safety and reliability of all the features aboard the yacht have always been a red line for him.
You can watch a video walk through of ANABEL here:
She has voyaged extensively in the Tropics, but she was designed also for both high and low latitude sailing and maybe her new yachtsman will wish to venture with her to these cold places.
ANABEL has a secure aft cockpit, no teak side decks, and easy management of her rig.
Her pilothouse is a safe and secure place with an epic Porsche 911 seat for the helm and a glass panel above her Lugger so that it is always visible.
Below she has an atmospheric and comfortable lower saloon with practical galley – she even has a humidor!
Aft of the main saloon is a comfortable double guest cabin to port and a large single to starboard. They share a colourful head and shower which also serves as the day head.
The owner’s stateroom is forward with a double, ensuite heads and shower compartment and there is also a desk area.
Everywhere aboard ANABEL there is storage and every piece of equipment and storage area has been considered carefully to make her a platform for sailing, whichever of the Seven Seas you choose.
The dinghy is housed in the aft lazarette which has a watertight bulkhead separating it from the rest of the ship.
There is an extensive manual explaining the workings of ANABEL and the logic behind all the installations and layout choices.
Because ANABEL is a very big subject, we also have a much longer walk through video for you to have a look at which shows this remarkable yacht in further detail:
ANABEL has been reduced in price. She is now asking only €1,200,000 + VAT which is but a fraction of her original build cost. She is exceptional.
