September 2022 – Boat Shows and More from Berthon Spain’s ‘Big Blue Shed’

The summer brought us some very fine yachting weather across all our Berthon locations, which means the Berthon team has continued to be super busy, helping clients find yachts for their all important leisure time. As summer turns into autumn, our offices are now buzzing with the boat shows that this season brings, and where we hope to re-connect with old clients – whilst looking forward to meeting new ones.

You will find Berthon International at the Cannes Yachting Festival – 6th to 11th September 2022. This stunning yachting festival is back and team Berthon will be there with a fabulous fleet of Marex Boats in Cannes Vieux Port. On stands PAN219 & PAN087 you will find a fleet of Marex Boats cruisers. The Marex 375, 360 Cabriolet Cruiser, 330 Scandinavia and 310 Sun Cruiser will be available for viewings.

Next on the agenda is Berthon International at the Southampton Boat Show – 16th to 25th September 2022. Berthon will be welcoming you aboard hull No. 6 of an all new Solaris 40. It is the first time the 40 has been available to see and touch in the UK. The Solaris shipyard order book currently stretches until at least mid-2023, but hull No. 6 is available to sail away today with full warranty from day of purchase. She will be located on berth M440 and is available for a test sail by arrangement.

Our Top 10 Yacht Sales Insights this month come from Berthon USA’s Alan Baines. Alan keeps us abreast on how the current market is faring and how the raft of global issues, we are all currently facing, are affecting them all in Newport, RI – USA.

Whatever the weather, it’s a busy life for a yacht broker and this month Berthon UK’s Hugh Rayner introduces us to how he maintains his work/life balance, sharing an itinerary of his ‘typical’ day. Lots of travel up and down our beautiful South Coast UK, meeting clients, showing yachts, photo shoots and videos are all in a day’s work for Hugh, who clearly loves his job and has a blast! He is passionate about the yachts entrusted to his brokerage care and enjoys every minute of his hectic schedule.

Rowan Fairbrass gets to grips with battery testing this month with Berthon Spain’s electricians. It turns out that there is more to this important maintenance check than one might think. Rowan takes us through the thorough processes carried out to ensure good working order, explains what determines a battery’s effective life span and introduces us to lithium-ion batteries as an alternative to the more common gel. Berthon Spain’s electricians are experienced in all types and brands and are the go-to chaps in Palma for battery installation, maintenance and checking.

Berthon USA at the Newport International Boat Show

The Berthon USA crew are looking forward to the Newport International Boat Show from 15th to 18th September. Located in historic Newport, Rhode Island – USA, this is one of the most prestigious boat shows around. Berthon will be welcoming you aboard the Moody 54 DS, the Moody 51 DS – plus an immaculate X-Yachts 4.9.

Our Berthon Book 2022-2023 will be published in early September 2022 (watch this space!).
