We have just received NOVARA at our Lymington HQ, where she is now available to see, touch and write a cheque for.

Custom built by Bestevaer, in Holland, to rugged and capable designs by Dykstra of aluminium, she was conceived and built for serious bluewater cruising with the emphasis on sailing in high and low latitude.

Definitely the weapon of choice for adventurous yachtsmen – she has twin carbon AeroRigs, a fantastic pilothouse, centreboard and twin daggerboards.

Her interior comes with five watertight bulkheads and she has the most amazing man cave forward with access onto the foredeck.

Aft of this is a double cabin, in the centre of the ship, with an upper and lower berth cabin opposite, a large heads with separate shower and a further double cabin.

The galley is secure for working in a seaway, with plenty of space so that two people can cook there simultaneously.

With her massive construction, kabola heating, protected aft cockpit and well-designed systems that have easy access – she is a very special machine.

This owner has completed a 32,950 nm circumnavigation of the Americas and has also sailed her extensively in the ice. He has written some amazing articles, which you can see here –

We see a lot of bluewater cruising yachts and all are built for oceans and for capability in tough conditions. NOVARA is most definitely one of the most 4-wheel drive bluewater cruising yachts that we have ever seen. She is set up for easy and capable ocean crossing – her rig plan would give her about 12 gear changes were she a hummer…
