The Windy 31 Zonda was reviewed by Motor Boats Monthly as “Perhaps the best hull we’ve ever tested” and was awarded the accolade of 2012 Motor Boat of the Year.
She was designed as the replacement for the Windy 32 Grand Tornado and when compared to the popular Windy 29 Coho, offers more hull length, cockpit volume and many practical touches and features, which make staying on-board, much more comfortable.

She marked the start of a new design language and DNA for Windy, which has since been transferred to subsequent models such as the Windy 39 Camira and 32 Grand Zonda.
The stylish cockpit of the 31 Zonda features three seats forward with an ergonomic helm position and large sofa with removal high-gloss table, which is in perfect condition. The aft sun pad features a movable back rest and the companionway has been designed with a dedicated fender locker. Notable storage can be found below the cockpit cushions.
The cabin on the 31 Zonda includes a fixed double berth, hanging lockers, shelved lockers and a well appointed galley with diesel fired hob. The heads compartment is well designed with an electric heads, shower from the mixer tap and vanity locker.
COVO II has benefited from one experienced owner since new and has recently been reduced by £10,000. The Seller has arranged for the engine and outdrive to be serviced and for the yacht to be anti-fouled in preparation for the 2022 summer season.
The 31 Zonda was available in a range of engine options and was commonly specified with the Volvo D6-400 Diesel engine, which has been fitted on COVO II. Although the 31 Zonda comes with the option of twin Volvo D3-220 engines, many clients prefer the bullet proof reliability of the D6 engine, with smooth 6 cylinder feel, economy and reduced service costs. In addition, the D6 engine benefits from both a super charger and turbo, which afford superior low down torque when compared to the twins.
COVO II is offered with the balance of her extended Volvo Penta engine warranty, which was arranged by the owner at additional expense at original supply.
She is fitted with trim tabs and the EVC power trim assistance feature, which automatically adjusts the outdrive trim position based on the engine RPM.
The specification of COVO II includes full teak laid decking in the cockpit and on the bathing platform, quality bimini, bow thruster, electric windlass and upgrade to the Raymarine Axiom 12 PRO-RX chart plotter with advanced sonar.
This example was UK VAT paid and was in the EU at the point of Brexit. There is the possibility she could be returned to the UK or remain in the EU as VAT paid.
This is a little used and well maintained example of the legendary 31 Zonda and viewing is highly recommended. She is berthed in Estepona in Southern Spain, which is within easy reach of the international airports in Malaga and Gibraltar.
We would also be delighted to set up a digital tour via Facetime, WhatsApp or Zoom.
