Italy has a large and varied coastline stretching from Imperia, close to Monaco down to Genoa to Naples and with Palermo at its foot. The waters of the Mediterranean lap this coastline with easy access to the beautiful and glamorous islands of Sardinia and Corsica. The other side of the Italian foot provides cruising in the lovely Ionian and Adriatic as well as access to the iconic port of Venice.
It is a very cool place to cruise and to keep a yacht and many yachtsmen both Italian and international do so. In its numerous ports, there are a plethora of great yachts for sale and good service points can be found throughout the area if you have some local knowledge.
Berthon have been working with Filippo Martini for some while and he is key for us in unlocking the best of Italy. A mad, keen sailor, he is also an experienced yacht broker and knows the cruising grounds well. He is knowledgeable about the best places to keep a yacht for sale, local taxes, registration and generally about getting things done in Italy.
