The Solaris 80 RS is the largest of the sub 24m range of Solaris RS models. Offering increased levels of comfort, accommodation and capability for ocean cruising. The yacht is available in a number of internal layouts meeting all potential owner requirements and can accommodate up to eight guests with crew. The 80 RS is built at the Solaris advanced composites facility giving the option to build both hull and deck in Sprint Pre Preg.
In line with Solaris Yachts range, the sail handing is all led aft to two banks of jammers supported by either electric or hydraulic winches and can be easily managed by a limited crew. In line with the recent Solaris designs the 80 RS will feature twin rudders, a standard draft of 4.0 with option of a hydraulic keel 2.6 – 4m.
The Solaris 80RS was conceived for extended blue water cruising. The generous areas above and below deck have particular significance. A unique environment has been developed for the dinette, below which is the engine room, while above, the coachroof windows provide all-round sea views and natural light that makes the interior sparkle.
The interior layouts of the first two 80’s have different versions. In hull 01 the owner’s stateroom is aft while in hull 02 it is forward. Whatever the choice, the boat will be laid out with 4 double cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom and shower and the skipper and crew cabins will also be equipped with separate bathroom and shower.
On deck, the boat is extremely clean and ergonomic, a consequence of the complexities of the project that led to design a cockpit line on one floor level.
There are two different versions of companionway entrance: central with 2 tables or offset with one table. The helm command and sail management area is clearly separated from the relaxation area. The aft deck is extremely wide with access to the hydraulically operated tender garage accommodates a 3m tender with longitudinal access, this is achieved with minimal intrusion into the aft cabins while the transom also serves as an ample swim platform.
Again, with a choice of interior finishes – light oak, teak, washed and antiqued oak, the craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality throughout is as you would expect from Solaris Yachts.
