Multihull Yacht Brokerage

multihull-yacht-brokerage

Our multihull yacht brokerage plays a pivotal role in connecting buyers with high-performance vessels that offer speed, stability, and space. Multihull yachts are performance-driven vessels with two or more hulls, offering stability, speed, and expansive living space. Catamarans and trimarans—subtypes of multihulls—excel in bluewater cruising, coastal passages, and charter operations. Both of course have their unique place in the market and there are many factors to consider choosing two or three hulls. The multihull market has exploded in recent years, the usability, speed, and size of accommodation has proved to be a large attraction to the coastal cruising market, and more brands are starting to produce some exquisite yachts. Truly an exciting time to be in the market.

Why Choose a Multihull Yacht?

Multihull yachts minimise heeling, reduce drag, and deliver efficient, fast sailing. Wide beams enhance comfort at anchor and underway. Cruising catamarans like Lagoon and Fountaine Pajot prioritise volume and layout flexibility, whereas lightweight trimarans such as Gunboat, Outremer, and Corsair offer rapid offshore performance without compromising safety. A modern cruising catamaran can be just as comfortable as an apartment, but you have the advantage of being able to change the view as often as you like. Shallow draft opens far more opportunities than that of a mono hull, and with twin screws manoeuvrability is far easier.

Catamaran or Trimaran? A catamaran offers huge living accommodation, speed with less drag from the hulls and more righting moment, but involve more systems, twin power plants and long cable runs from the maintenance perspective. Trimarans offer a more planted’ feeling at speed, some have the option of folding to minimise marina berthing fees and are cleverly designed to accommodate comfortably. Whichever way you choose, performance and usability are the key ingredients to swift passage making and a large social platform to enjoy living on.
