The Windy 29 Coho is a timeless Scandinavian classic that sets the benchmark in sports boat handling and design.
She benefits from the latest in construction techniques, making her lighter, stronger, faster and more economical than many competitors. She benefits from a razor-sharp deep-vee hull designed by the Windy wizard Hans Jørgen Johnsen and very well proven in the superbly balanced Windy 28 Ghibli. Substantial hull reinforcement armours this water-borne projectile, so she will handle weather with gusto that keeps many others in harbour.
With a versatile cockpit layout, her new-generation canopy system comes as standard and is easily deployed for protection from colder climates, or adapted as a bimini. There is a large aft sunpad, plenty of locker space, comfortable seating for a family & friends and a clear, uncluttered dash with class-leading helm ergonomics. This is a boat that is extremely rewarding to drive, with very high levels of grip and an aggressive bow profile for super-soft progress at speed.
The Windy 29 Coho is available with a range of powerful Volvo Penta engine configurations, including the super-smooth D6/440 DPI diesel and the mighty V8-430HP gasoline block, complemented by the standard power trim assistance and trip computer. A wolf in sheep’s clothing some might say, but yet the power delivery is refined, and noise levels at cruise remain unobtrusive. The machinery is tucked neatly away beneath the aft sunpad, which hinges with a powered ram for daily checks and general access and the engine bay is clinically clean, with automatic fire protection and excellent insulation as standard.
Below decks, her comfortable and fully trimmed double cabin is ideal for weekends away, with good natural light, an opening deck hatch for ventilation, separate heads compartment, compact but complete galley with independent diesel-fired hob and a storage locker beneath the double berth. Being a Windy and of Scandinavian blood, the attention to detail is everywhere, and the quality of fit-out and finish is first class.
To celebrate the success of the Windy 29 Coho model, Windy have introduced the exclusive GT version which includes an extensive range of design updates, interior and exterior trim upgrades, a comprehensive standard specification and a competitive price-point.
