After sailing the entire East Coast from Maine to Florida, Bermuda, and the Islands, and owning and chartering several fine sailboats, we purchased the Albin 35 TE as the ideal economical but rugged, fast and elegant cruising boat for our latter years. We have recently updated and improved all her running gear and mechanical systems using the renowned mechanical expertise of Niemiec Marine and an open checkbook to ensure reliable and safe cruising along the Eastern seaboard, Narragansett Bay and the Bahamas.
Inspired by the exceptional sea keeping abilities of the North Sea fishing fleet, naval architect Terry Compton designed her to be a comfortable boat with powerful diesel engines, wide side decks and railings, generous cockpit, well thought out use of space, and striking downeast styling.
My wife loves the sun filled interior and entertaining guests aboard, plus we could handle her easily and could always get home in all conditions without concern. This made her our perfect choice. Selling her due to health issues is bittersweet, but we know she has many years of reliable nautical enjoyment and exceptional power cruising ahead.
