Astondoa is a premium motor yacht manufacturer in Alacante Spain. They have 100 years of boat building experience and are a family run business that opted for quality over quantity. In recent years they have utilised there skilful workforce and have built and designed an impressive model range from 38 – 125ft and are embracing the new technological and design development in order to keep producing the innovation.

NAUTI III is an Astondoa 39 that was built in 2004 and has been evidently well maintained and cared for by the first and current owner (second owner). Being a 42ft flybridge motor yacht, I have been impressed with the styling, volume and layout of this boat, which I believe offers more than some of the larger options on the market. The build quality is on display as soon as you step onboard and testament is the fantastic condition I found her in.

She is powered by twin trusty Volvo Penta TAMD 63P 6 cylinder diesel engines that offer 370hp per side and are relatively cheaper to maintain then the newer EVC generation models. This equates to a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots and with the sticks down she will reach a top end of just under 30 knots. Being shaft driven and equipped with a bow thruster, she is easily handled by a cruising couple.

NAUTI III has a large flybridge with wrap around comfortable seating for eight and gives an unobstructed view for the helmsman. Moving forward the bow has sunbathing cushions that are moulded into the deck. The sliding doors down aft open up the interior to the cockpit, offering shaded seating and access to the extended teaked bathing platform. Down below there is a forward master cabin with en-suite access and a fixed twin cabin to starboard. There is also the option to pull a double berth from the sofa in the Saloon continuing the fun to be had on board.

In turnkey ready condition and still running on low hours NAUTI III is a boat that will make you great memories on the water and should therefore be top of your shopping list!

We bought our much loved NAUTI III as a family boat, spending plenty of time on board, both as an active sea going vessel and also as a very comfortable ’second home’ based in Lymington. She offers an extremely high standard of living and allowed us to entertain brilliantly with ample space afforded by the well laid out saloon and flybridge. We are only having to part company due to a career relocation, otherwise we would plan on keeping her for luxurious yachting well into our retirement. Her sleek lines and useable layout offer a wonderful balance of practicality and content in the knowledge that her and ‘bullet proof’ kevlar infused hull would keep us safe on the water if required. NAUTI III has without a doubt changed our lives for the better during our tenure of ownership and we would wish the next owners the same sense of privileged enjoyment we have been able to look back upon with pride.
