ATALANTA J is a very special classic motor yacht build by Feadship in 1958. She retains many of her original features and all of her charm. Through the years and with a series of smitten owners she has been thoughtfully updated and improved using modern technology that does not jar. She is a great sea yacht and is captivatingly pretty.

ATALANTA J is the perfect family cruising yacht. She has a lovely seating area forward as well as a covered dining area on her spacious aft deck. She is has well organised bridge with access to her engine room. The main deck saloon is elegant and light floods in, and there is a lovely combination of modern fabrics against her teak upperworks. Forward there is a lovely surprise with a forward saloon and galley area. Aft of the deck saloon are practical and spacious sleeping cabins, which all retain the charm of her original build.

She is safe and comfortable for the whole family and she has been cherished and much loved by her current owners who will be sad to pass her onto her next owners.

Owner’s Comments

ATALANTA J has been our family yacht for some years, and we bought her in Hamburg, Germany. On purchase my parents cruised down to the South of France and then to Corsica and Sardinia aboard her. Father is no longer with us, but we continue to enjoy ATALANTA J and we have based her and use her today in the azure waters of the Côte d’Azur.

During our ownership we have always kept up with the maintenance aboard ATALANTA J. We made a big improvement by changing the seating on the aft deck and fitting a large dining table, which makes her a very social yacht. The second berth in the master cabin has also been enlarged. During our ownership she has always had a full time captain but we are also very hands on with handling the yacht and we like being involved with her maintenance programme.

I love ATALANTA J because she is easy to handle and she is a wonderful platform for entertaining family and friends. I find her very easy to helm and being able to navigate her ourselves adds to the enjoyment of owning her.

I now have two small children and whilst we greatly enjoy the time that we spend aboard ATALANTA J, I don’t now have the time to invest in her to give her the care and love that she should have, so she needs new owners. We will be very sorry to say goodbye.
