The Grand Soleil 48 is born from the cooperation between the prestigious Nauta Yacht Design team, the naval architect Marco Lostuzzi, and Cantiere del Pardo’s Technical Department. Their expertise resulted in an important Made-in-Italy project: a real revolution in the 50-foot sailing market. The Performance range is for those who love the thrill of sailing with a sporty approach. From sailing to racing, this is where innovation and quality define the true meaning of performance. The Grand Soleil 48 is light and fast and designed using first-class technologies, guaranteeing a light and rigid boat with a precise righting moment, capable of amazing upwind sailing angles. For better handling, the sail plan is generous but not forced.
The deck layout concept is designed to combine excellent performance and speed when racing with easy handling while cruising. You will find a wide cockpit, a neat design, a comfortable deck, a recessed rail for a self tacking jib, as well as longitudinal rails for a standard one. At the stern, a large, folding platform, with idraulic mechanism, allows convenient access to the sea, and is equipped with a comfortable automatic step for descent. When opened, it gives access to the tender garage.
The interior of Grand Soleil 48 is an example of modern style: straight lines, tones of light oak, and abundant natural lighting for large windows. The size of the boat allows a comfortable organization of space. Nothing «squeezes»: shower cabins, galley, dining areas, full chart table – everything has sufficient dimensions. The same goes for the cabins. The interior cockpit features an exceptionally large cabin with ergonomically designed furniture that is safe and practical at sea.
Grand Soleil 48 is a typical Mediterranean boat. Going fast and looking cool is the philosophy of the Italian shipyard, fully reflected in the GS 48 POESIA, which you will find in ‘as new’ conditions.
I previously owned a Grand Soleil 40 Paperini, and greatly appreciated the magic blend of performance, design, seaworthiness and robustness of Cantiere del Pardo boats. POESIA was conceived together with my best friends to fulfill our need for freedom and longer navigations, with the crazy dream of sailing far away and perhaps light racing around the world.
In reality, I sailed a few times in summer with POESIA, just in the Tyrrhenian Sea around Sardinia and the Pontine Islands, reaching the Argentario and Elba island. I raced very few times in the club races of Cala Galera. I never could leave for my dreamed long navigations…
Then, with the pandemic, many things changed in my life. Most of my friends quit to go on new adventures, and I started falling in love with a new white adventure: I went crazy with Alpine sports!
I understood that it was maybe too early to go on my world tour on the Seven Seas. I was reluctant, but gradually accepted the fact that such a beautiful boat would need a new and passionate owner for renewed fun and many more miles.
POESIA is a fantastic boat; she is fast, easy, and safe, whatever the conditions.
The cockpit is very spacious, the benches are wide, and you can nicely lie on them to sunbathe or relax when navigating at night. The deck offers a lot of space for the guests, and the side decks are easy to walk on: you can go from the bow to the cockpit free from any obstacle. The large swim platform allows easy access to the sea and great fun for you and your family.
Below deck, the elegant design from Nauta Yacht Design is nicely matched with the craftsmanship of Cantiere del Pardo. The saloon is very large and chic, the owner cabin is simply perfect, and the guest cabins are incredibly spacious. Both the master head en suite in the owner cabin and the guest head at aft are wide and well conceived, with the shower in a separate space. POESIA is easy to sail and steer, extremely comfortable to live in, and as elegant as no other sailing yacht.
