The Hanse 540E is a great family yacht and offers very good performance with excellent accommodation and all the comforts below deck. CAOL ILA is one private owner since new and offers a good specification.

She has wide, uncluttered decks, the cockpit provides for excellent entertainment and safe sailing with dual wheel steering and a transom garage. The 540E is a fantastic yacht to steer, the jib makes life easy when up-wind sailing. At anchorage she offers ample space outside to relax. A huge benefit is the spacious tender garage. She is well equipped with an in-boom mainsail, a furling genoa, electric winches, and a self-tacking Jib-track integrated in the fore deck. Forward on deck there is an excellent storage/possible crew cabin.

Down below, she offers spacious accommodations and a modern, spacious interior with mahogany woodwork, anthracite Corian worktops, good head room and ample storage. This yacht offers a spacious owner’s stateroom forward and two cabins with double berths aft. All three cabins feature their own bathroom to maximize the privacy of all guests. She is, fitted out with; air conditioning in all cabins, electric toilets, water-maker and generator.

CAOL ILA is a comfortable and powerful family cruiser, she is presented in excellent condition and representing exceptional value.

I have owned eight boats, and each had something to recommend it, but none could equal CAOL ILA for pure sailing enjoyment. She is a go-anywhere boat that has crossed the Atlantic twice.
