The Island Packet 370 is a solidly built, robust, and excellent yacht for long-distance voyaging or local cruising. The brainchild of naval architect Bob Johnson and the Island Packet design team, this yacht represents a popular cruising vessel with a traditional exterior and a cutter rig, constructed using modern techniques. The result is a true bluewater vessel capable of crossing oceans, but with a draft of only 4 ft, she is also able to enter those sought-after anchorages.

On deck, you have the classic Island Packet rig set-up, with an in-mast mainsail, a self-tacking Hoyt jib boom, and a staysail with a furling genoa. Down below, there are two cabins and one head, which is ideal in a boat of this size. The fit-and-finish that Island Packets are known for makes the interior accommodations very comfortable.

Overall, SEADUCTION is in very good condition, with the current owners caring for her lovingly. She has benefited from extensive maintenance, and recent upgrades include new rigging, an Axiom Pro navigation system, and new batteries. Having sailed significant distances over the years, she will provide her new owner with the perfect platform for long-distance and coastal cruising.

Owner’s Comments

We bought SEADUCTION in 2018. Her previous owner had bought her from the Island Packet factory and was only selling her because his wife was too unwell to sail anymore. As our first boat, she will always have a special place in our hearts. We have had many happy times sailing her, initially in the Solent and further afield to Cherbourg and the Channel Islands. For the last two years, we have been sailing her around the UK, covering over 2,000 miles and living aboard for 20 weeks.

She is a classic cruising boat, dealing amazingly well with all the big seas, winds, and tidal races around the UK while remaining extremely comfortable to live on. Our next adventure is to sail in the Med, but sadly, she is not suitable to be fitted with air conditioning and a generator. Because we want to maintain many of her great features, we are buying a larger Island Packet. SEADUCTION has many more years of cruising ahead of her, and we will be leaving her equipped to sail away, confident that her new owner will love her as much as we have.
