The Malö 36 is a solid-built cruising yacht, perfectly suited for a couple or a family that appreciate spending much time onboard. Whether sailing or at anchor, the Malö 36 is a very comfortable and functional yacht.
Malö 36 BLUE COLUMBINE was delivered in 2003 to her first owner. Since 2019 she has been used by her current Dutch owner for family sailing, mainly in Scandinavia, in the Baltic and on the Swedish west coast. BLUE COLUMBINE has been professionally maintained and is in a good condition.
The relatively large aft cockpit, with its folding table and easy handling cockpit tent, offers a comfortable area for socializing. The fixed windscreen together with the sprayhood provides super good protection in rainy and cold weather conditions.
BLUE COLUMBINE is equipped with a conventional mast and a single line reef boom. There are four Andersen winches for sail handling. The mainsheet track is mounted on the characteristic Malö targa arch, providing a clutter free cockpit.
The layout includes two cabins with double berths, and a large saloon with a sofa, two comfortable armchairs and an extendable table. The galley is located to port of the entrance. The navigation area and the head with shower are located to starboard of the entrance. The amount of storage throughout the yacht is amazing. The interior is built in mahogany to the highest Malö finish.
BLUE COLUMBINE’s technical equipment includes an autopilot, Axion plotter, I70 instruments, AIS, bow thruster and a 39hp Yanmar engine with shaft drive.
We have found BLUE COLUMBINE an excellent sailing yacht, both for leisurely sailing as well as in challenging conditions. Her build quality is superb and we have enjoyed her sturdiness and beautiful woodwork. We have always kept her inside in the winter months, serviced and upgraded her equipment and sails. We have enjoyed sailing with her both in Denmark and Sweden, but also in the Netherlands, British waters and along the coast of France. Due to the fact we now have more spare time and will spend more time om board, we have opted for a somewhat bigger boat. We will let her go with regret and wish her new owners many pleasant miles.
