Broker’s Comments

A pure modern Rustler, designed as a smaller sistership to the renowned and well-respected Rustler 42. The Rustler 37 is a very pretty yacht with a gentle bow and over hanging transom. Her hull was designed by Stephen Jones who, as with her sisters, has done well to create a superb sailing boat.

She offers double cabins fore and aft, and a spacious U-shaped saloon. There is plenty of storage throughout for extended cruising. Forward is the owner’s cabin with a near rectangular shaped berth, and with plenty of storage on either side. In the main saloon, the U-shaped settee and table are to port with a settee to starboard. She has a large navigation station which can be aft facing, or forward facing and U-shaped galley area opposite to port with gimballed stove, deep sink, and a top loaded fridge. There is ample storage space and lockers outboard, which as with the rest of the yacht, has been very well thought through for practical life at sea.

Aft of the chart table is the spacious heads and separate stall shower area and aft of that is a 2-berth aft cabin on the starboard side. As to be expected, her trademark Rustler high quality joinery is beautifully finished and can be built in Oak (standard), Teak, Walnut or with ‘Herreshoff White’ bulkheads.

Construction of these yachts is carried out with extreme care and attention and the hull and deck are hand laid GRP, and the hull is solid fiberglass with an encapsulated keel. All bulkheads and joinery are fully glassed into the hull and deck unlike most production yachts these days, meaning the yacht is immensely strong and will certainly look after you!

Out on deck everything has been much thought through to ensure she is ergonomically designed for ultimate comfort when cruising. The cockpit is a great space when sailing or when moored and her aft stern rail seats are a lovely place to sit. Her sail setup is easily handled and can be setup to suit your needs and preferences. As standard, they are built with single line reefing, and all controls are led back to the cockpit for easy, safe, and manageable sailing. Optionally, the boat can be fitted with a carbon mast, or in mast furling, and powered headsail furlers are becoming a popular addition.

Deck storage is in the form of a large cockpit locker to port, under seat lockers for the propane, and up forward there is a generous sized deck locker.

To sum up, the Rustler 37 is a thoroughly modern boat, but has all the attributes of the era of ‘proper sailboats’ of timeless beauty, such as the Hinckley Southwesters, and the Morris Ocean series which are no longer produced.
